Memorandum on Cooperation between the Ministry of Defence and NIS

Defence Minister Bratislav Gasic and Director of NIS Kirill Kravchenko signed at Batajnica Airport a Memorandum on Cooperation which increases traffic safety and improves storage of hazardous materials. Signing of the Memorandum on Cooperation was also attended by Head of the General Staff General Ljubisa Dikovic with associates.

- The Memorandum we have signed confirms our endeavors in improving cooperation with the largest company in Serbia – a company that traditionally shows a high level of social awareness in improving traffic safety and preserving the environment. The Memorandum is signed only a day after a traffic accident of a fuel tank and an ecological incident with fuel out-pour, which shows that endeavors for improving ecological consciousness never stop. Both the Armed Forces of Serbia and NIS constantly point out that capable staff and educated people can give a significant contribution to achieving that goal for the benefit of both SAF and NIS - Defence Minister Bratislav Gasic stated.

While thanking SAF for their contribution in joint education of NIS staff, Director Kirill Kravchenko stressed that NIS constantly improves traffic safety, being devoted to preserving the environment and with an uncompromising respect of traffic regulations, which reduced the number of traffic accidents in that company by 60 percent.

- More than 400 of our drivers will go through training at the Armed Forces of Serbia – training of high level and quality. This is the beginning of our cooperation in joint training of personnel that contribute greatly to preserving the environment and traffic safety in their regular tasks – Kravchenko said.

At the end, a part of means and elements of the joint training of NIS drivers that will be realized at the Armed Forces of Serbia was shown.
