Nis Military Orchestra at the music festival in Moscow
Military Orchestra Nis from the Army formation, conducted by Captain Dejan Djordjevic, performs at the international military music festival “Spaska Basnja”, held from August 30 to September 7 at the Red Square in Moscow. Around 1,500 musicians and other artists such as dancers, acrobats and martial arts masters will take part in the festival, and, aside from our orchestra, performances will also be given by ensembles from Armenia, Bulgaria, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Kazakhstan, China, Mexico, Turkey and Switzerland.
The Nis Military Orchestra’s performance which daily includes compositions “March on the Drina” by
composer and the first military conductor-chaplain Stanislav Binicki, “Alexander the First” by Franjo Pokorni and “Milan Obrenovic” by Davorin Jenko, has been greatly successful and well-received by several thousand visitors of the festival.After performances at the international festival for the Day of Courage celebration in Sofia and at the opening of “Andricgrad” in Visegrad, this is the third international performance of the Nis Military Orchestra this year.
