The team of the SAF's competition at the Tank Biathlon ended

For the tank units of the Armed Forces of Serbia, after the competition at the sports training ground, the competition at the Tank Biathlon in the Russian Federation ended. Although after the individual race and the pursuit race it took the fourth place, which leads to the finals, our team placed eight after yesterday’s competition.

The first place was won by Russia, followed by Kazakhstan, China and Armenia; Belarus placed fifth, followed by India, Kirgizia, Serbia, Mongolia, Venezuela, Angola and Kuwait. The first four teams will compete on August 16 in the relay race which will decide the team winner of the Tank Biathlon. In the tank crew competition, the first two places were won by Russians, while one crew from the Kazakhstani team took the third place.

The excellent scores made by the Serbian competitors in purely tank disciplines which involved overcoming the terrain and tank obstacles combined with shooting weren’t enough to compensate for the insufficient results in the sports competition. Since the scoring difference was rather small between the teams, especially those in the first half of the board, some teams significantly improved their scores after the sports competition. The team of the People’s Republic of China’s Army won the first place by a landslide at the sports competition, which brought it from below the middle of the board to the third place and to the final race.
