Continuation of the Tank Biathlon in Russia
After the first part of the Tank Biathlon, the team of the Serbian Armed Forces took fifth place. Russia is the first, Kazakhstan the second, followed by Armenia and Belarus. These are the teams that had also participated in this competition. Our team is currently followed by India, China, Kyrgyzstan, Venezuela, Mongolia, Angola and Kuwait. Difference in scored times in the first half of the chart is relatively small, so, except for Russia that convincingly holds the first place, changes in ranking are possible.Today begins the first stage of the second part – sprint.
During the press conference held this morning at the press center of the Alabino training ground, our team’s leader Colonel Zeljko Kuzmanovic stated that, considering the fact that this is our first participation, our results are good, but that there is room for improvement.
- On the second day, our tank had a technical malfunction, which caused us to lose some time, which in turn brought us a somewhat poorer placing. We are focused on the further course of the competition, we believe in ourselves and we hope we can be a serious competition to the most prepared teams. For now, we are positioned behind countries that had previously participated in the biathlon and that are experienced. Aside from that, their teams are impeccably prepared – Colonel Kuzmanovic said, and commended the good organization of the competition.
