Minister congratulates the Day of the Riverine Units



On the occasion of 6th August – the Day of the Riverine Units, to all members of the branch I extend my heartfelt congratulations.

On this day, in 1915, the first Serbian battleship “Jadar” was launched in Cukarica, which marked the foundation of the Serbian Riverine Flotilla.

Nurturing the glorious tradition of the crews of “Jadar”, monitors of “Drava” and many others, members of your unit today represent a professional and well-trained formation that greatly contributes to the reputation of the Armed Forces of Serbia.

I congratulate you on your holiday, and wish you to continue achieving great successes in conducting tasks, and to continue building operational capabilities of your unit.
