Minister Gasic visited the children on Tara

Defence Minister Bratislav Gasic visited today the children from Krupanj and Macvanski Prnjavor that are spending their summer vacation, July 26 to August 2, at the military hotel “Beli Bor” on Tara free of charge.

On this occasion, Minister said that Serbia had had many sorrowful fates in the last three months due to the disastrous floods.

- One of the sad stories is Krupanj, where many children lost their home. From day one, the Armed Forces of Serbia have been in Krupanj, working intensively on flood relief, and we will most probably start building new houses soon. My associates and I are filled with joy because we have managed to give the children seven days at the Military Vacation Club, at the expense of the Serbian Armed Forces, and for seeing their smiling faces because of it – Minister Gasic said, adding that the Armed Forces of Serbia stand by their people in times of need, and when they give them beautiful moments.

The children thanked the Minister and the Armed Forces of Serbia for enabling them to spend their summer vacation at the hotel of the Tara military facility.

After visiting the children at the hotel “Beli Bor”, the Minister visited the Forest House “Tara” and “Omorika” Hotel.

During Minister Gasic’s stay in Krupanj, the citizens introduced him to their everyday issues, and the fact that their youngest ones would not be able to have a summer vacation this year. Then, it was decided for 36 schoolchildren from Krupanj and five from Macvanski Prnjavor to go to Tara by the end of their school break, funded by the Ministry of Defence.
