Tank units ready for the beginning of the competition in Russia
On August 4, at the start of the “Tank Biathlon 2014” in Russian Federation, tank units of the Armed Forces of Serbia will compete in green tanks on the 4th track, as has been decided by the draw. Serbia will compete against Angola, Mongolia and Kazakhstan on the first day of the unofficial world championship at the “Alabino” training ground near Moscow.On Friday, the Serbian tank units went from the Kantemir Division Base in Naro-Fominsk to the Tamanskaya Division Base in Alabino, where they charged the tanks they are competing in. Today, they will have the opportunity to see from the bus the track they are competing in, which they will do tomorrow in tanks, without using the weapons.
According to the preliminary results noted by the Russian trainers during the preparations in Naro-Fominsk, where over half of the teams
participated, 4 our crews took the first four places individually, which made the representatives of Serbia one of the potential teams to win a high placement.At the opening of the competition, where 12 teams are participating, attendance of the highest state and military authorities of the Russian Federation is expected, as well as of high-level military delegations of the competing countries. Advertisements for the tank biathlon are being aired on Russian national TV channels, and, judging by the appearance and the size of the training ground, grandstands, Press-Center and other facilities in Alabino, the Tank Biathlon could be compared with the greatest military competitions in the world.
