Workshop on budget planning and strategic plans
A workshop titled “Expense Models as a Support of Planning” has been opened today at the Budget and Finances Sector at the Ministry of Defence. The four day course will be attended by 20 participants from financial service and organizational units of the Ministry of Defence and the Armed Forces of Serbia.
While opening the workshop, Head of the Department for Budget of the Budget and Finances Sector Colonel Dr. Sasa Trandafilovic pointed out the significance of such professional advancement for members of the defence system and expressed his expectation for the participants of the workshop to expand their knowledge in the field of expenses in the role of planning process.The goal of the workshop is to advance connections between budget planning and strategic plans in order to secure the use of resources with the goal of achieving certain possibilities of national security. Lecturers at the course are Dajana Andjelis and Daniel Nusbaum from the Institute for Managing Defence Resources from Monterey, USA.
The workshop is the continuation of cooperation with the Monterey Institute that has begun in April this year, as a part of bilateral military cooperation between Serbia and USA.
