The second evening of "Spring in Belgrade" closes



Beogradsko prolece - Izvor: Uprava za odnose sa savnoscu Ministarstva odbraneWinning of Vocal 5 band and Tijana Dapcevic who have presented themselves to the audience in the Great Hall of the Belgrade House of Trade Unions tonight with the song "Kisobran" (Umbrella) closed the second competitive night of the "Spring in Belgrade" music festival dedicated to pop and entertainment music. The top prizes were presented by the Musical Editor of the Festival Vojkan Borisavljevic and Lieutenant Stanko Stojiljkovic, Director of the Ensemble "Stanislav Binicki", which is the organizer of the event.

In the second evening, there were sixteen artists whose compositions were selected among 85 works received to tender, by expert jury of the following composition – Vojkan Borisavljevic, Cornelije Kovac, Ivan Ilic, Pavle Medakovic and Aleksandar Gajovic. Many famous musical names paraded on the stage of the Great Hall of the House of Trade Unions supported during the two-hour programme by the musicians of the Stanislav Binicki ensemble.

The programme hosts were Dusica Spasic and Branko Veselinovic, scriptwriter Aleksandar Gajovic, Director Stanko Crnobrnja and conductors Ivan Ilic, Aleksandar Filipovic and Vojkan Borisavljevic.

The last evening of the "Spring in Belgrade", which will be held on Monday, 9th June, is reserved for hits of domestic evergreen music, which were created between1960 and 1980. Performance will be made by legends of popular music, such as Lola Novakovic, Beti Djordjevic, Radmila Karaklajić, Nada Pavlović, Maja Odžaklijevska, Lena Kovacevic, Ekstra Nena, Jasna Gosipic, Zoran Lekovic, "Lutajuca srca" (Wandering Hearts), Leo Martin, Lado Leskovar, Zarko Dancuo, Zafir and Vasil Hadzimanov, Miki Jevremovic, Zoran Georgijev, Dejan Pekovic, Dejan Cukic, Dragan Mijalkovski, Kemal Monteno.

"Spring in Belgrade" was created out of the need to open a new area for the entertainment music and fill the gap in popular music that emerged two decades ago by closing the Festival "Belgrade Spring".
