Completion of education of 38 class students of the Military High School

Graduation Ceremony of the 38th class students of the Military High School was held today in the conference hall of that institution in Belgrade. Apart from the high school graduates and their families, other high school students, professors and management of the school, the gathering was attended by Milos Jankovic, Assistant Minister for Human Resources, representatives of the city administration and the institutions with which the Military High School cooperates.

Congratulating the graduates on successful completion of schooling, Colonel Milan Stevic, Head of the Military High School, said that the 38th class was specific since the arrival of the students.

-You had the self-discipline and maturity that went ahead of your age and these you stayed such until the end. At the entrance exam for the Military Academy you achieved the best result of all the classes before you, Colonel Stevic said, adding that thanks to this fact, an initiative was launched to expand the list for admission to the Academy with a number of students from the Military High School.

- You have become mature young people, role model for your generation. You have proven that by decision to give up the Prom Night Party and the money intended for that you sent to people who perished in the floods, Colonel Stevic said stressing that the goal of that institution is bringing up, education and motivation for the military profession, which the collective headed by him fully achieved.

Three of the best students of the 38th class – David Trivunovic, Bozidar Lazovic and Stefan Kovarbasic – were awarded by the watch with inscription, while the next three in the rank, Stefan Djuric, Dusan Miljkovic and Miroslav Zivkovic received books.

The best student of the generation was awarded the annual prize of the Foundation "Second Lieutenant Borko Nikitović", which was established in 1993 by the Serbian Orthodox Church, Belgrade University and the Armed Forces. The award was presented by Zora Nikitovic, mother of the deceased lieutenant Borko Nikitovic, who was killed in the fighting in Vukovar in 1991 rescuing a wounded comrade. The Foundation keeps the memory of the tragically killed young officer who was once a student of the generation of the Military High School and the best student of the Military Academy.
