Information on referral of candidates for voluntary military service in June 2014



In the June referral period it has been planned to refer 450 candidates to the Serbian Armed Forces for voluntary military service with arms.

A number of 2,929 candidates applied for voluntary military service with arms or 651 percent of the Referral Plan.

A number of 450 candidates for voluntary military service under arms were referred to the training centres of the Serbian Armed Forces and 448 responded which makes 99.5 percent of the Referral Plan. The two candidates will be sent subsequently by which the Referral Plan will be implemented 100 percent.

A number of 37 women responded to referral to voluntary military service under arms. Women's participation in voluntary military service under arms in relation to the Referral Plan accounted for 8.3 percent.

Preparation and implementation of the June referral period was carried out as planned, with intensive involvement of the Department for Military Obligations, regional MoD centres and MoD centres for local government.
