Defence Minister receives the Ambassador of China



Defence Minister Bratislav Gasic has received today the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China Zhang Wanxue.

Thanking for the support of the People's Republic of China, offered during the floods , Minister Gasic stressed that Serbia is yet ahead of the period of recovery and taking care of the population in the territory which was most affected by the catastrophic floods.

Minister Gasic and Ambassador Wanxue agreed that strategic partnership of traditionally friendly countries and peoples receives confirmation through more and more meaningful cooperation in the field of defence.

It was noted that there is room for its enhancement, particularly in the fields of military medicine and education.

"We appreciate the foreign policy of the People's Republic of China, based on respect for the principles of peaceful coexistence and respect for all actors in international relations. This is evident also through the support of the People's Republic of China to solving the status of Kosovo and Metohija", Minister Gasic said.
