General Dikovic, with Russian Ambassador Alexander Cepurin, visited the Russian rescue team that helps citizens of Sabac.

The Chief of the General Staff said on this occasion that the fight is big and the odds are 50 to 50 per cent that the levees in the upper part of the river Sava could be breached, adding that they elaborated all the plans and that in the past days they have done everything that was humanly possible.

The First Army Brigade prepares and delivers meals to about 600 evacuees in the territory of Sremska Mitrovica. Foodstuffs for rations were provided by the city authorities of Sremska Mitrovica.

The engineers of the Second Army Brigade are located in the municipality of Bjelovar, where they work on restoration of the road near the village of Gvozdac.

In Sabac today, sanitation of the terrain began, as well as street washing to prevent the spread of disease and infection. CBRN units of the Serbian Armed Forces are involved in clearing up the terrain in Ub, Smederevska Palanka, Trstenik and Paracin.

In the last night's statement for Tanjug, the Serbian CHOD General Ljubisa Dikovic, who manages the defence of Sabac, said that the citizens are making full contribution to the normalization of the situation and the implementation of tasks in defence against floods.

"For all those who are struggling with the hardships that have befallen our country we are sending a message from this place - do not give up Serbia, fight Serbia", General Dikovic said.

In Sabac, during the night, residents of Drenovac were called to help reinforcing the levee that defends their village from the water from the swollen Sava River. The situation is now stable. Professional services with adequate machinery are installing geotextile which should prevent the flushing of the earth from the levee.
