Defence Minister received the Ambassador of Austria
Defence Minister Bratislav Gasic received the Austrian Ambassador Johannes Aigner and expressed gratitude to the Government of the Republic of Austria for the aid provided to Serbia in catastrophic and unprecedented floods.Minister Gasic thanked for the rapid engagement of 77 fire-fighters, 17 trucks, six boats for transport rescue teams and standby generators, as well as to help the Serbs in Austria, Austrian citizens of Serbian descent, and people of good will.
During the meeting it was agreed that the bilateral military cooperation between the two countries is very well developed and follows the excellent political relations between the two countries. The Defence Minister thanked for the support of the Austrian side in Serbia's European integration and professional engagement of the Austrian contingent within KFOR, as well as for the invitation to visit the Republic of Austria in the forthcoming period.
