Minister Gasic visits Lucani, Valjevo and Ub

The Minister inspected the "Milan Blagojevic – namenska" factory in Lucani. This morning, the factory employees have moved everything that was endangered so that all the manufacturing plants are protected and operational.

Minister Gasic said that the Serbian Armed Forces has always been with its people, supporting its people, and it shows now in the difficult moments in the flood affected areas.

- Today I am here in Lucani because this is one of the important special-purpose plants in the defence system. Luckily, the factory works and that is good news.

The Minister stressed that there were no major problems in other facilities of the Serbian Armed Forces and special-purpose plants, adding that members of the Serbian Armed Forces will be also engaged in other areas affected by the floods.

Minister Gasic appealed to all the citizens of Serbia to get involved and help their neighbours who are affected.

After visiting Lucani, Defence Minister Bratislav Gasic, together with General Ljubisa Dikovic, Chief of Serbian Armed Forces General Staff visited Valjevo.

Minister Gasic and general Dikovic attended the meeting of the Emergency Rescue Team in Valjevo, during which Stanko Terzic, Mayor of Valjevo, briefed them about the situation in and around the city.

After the meeting, the Minister of Defence and Chief of General Staff, along with Nikola Selakovic, Minister of Justice, visited the Juvenile Penal-Correctional Facility in Valjevo. Minister Gasic offered assistance in the form of engaging members of the Military Police for the Juvenile Penal-Correctional Facility.

After reviewing the situation in Ub, in this municipality, which was critical, 40 members of the Serbian Armed Forces were sent 200 blankets and three trucks from the 2nd Training Centre and the 2nd Army Brigade.
