Corporal Miodrag Petrovic, professional soldier of the Second Army Brigade, was found dead this morning at his work place, at the firing range "Zica" near Kraljevo, where he was engaged in safeguarding the range on the previous day.

Members of the Ministry of the Interior, emergency medical service and military police, as well as Milos Bzenic, prosecutor from the Higher Public Prosecutor 's Office in Kraljevo, went to the scene and conducted an investigation. The investigation is ongoing.

Miodrag Petrovic was born in Kraljevo in 1971.

Serbian Armed Forces Chief of General Staff and Army Commander formed a commission to investigate the circumstances under which the accident occurred. The work of the commission is ongoing.

Bratislav Gasic, Minister of Defence, and General Ljubisa Dikovic, Chief of General Staff, went to the scene. They also visited the family of the dead and expressed their sympathies.
