Chief of General Staff lays wreath at Monument to Unknown Hero



On the occasion of the Serbian Armed Forces Day, General Ljubisa Dikovic, Chief of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff, accompanied by Lieutenant General Aleksandar Zivkovic, Army Commander, and Major General Ranko Zivak, Air Force and Air Defence Commander, laid a wreath at the Monument to the Unknown Hero on Mt. Avala.

Chief of General Staff wrote in the Remembrance Book:

"Today, we are marking 199 years since the beginning of the Second Serbian Uprising, remembering with pride all the known and unknown heroes who fell in line of duty, defending their homeland. May the eternal glory shine upon them. Thank you. Long live Serbia! Long live the Serbian Armed Forces!"

After the wreath laying ceremony, General Dikovic took the salute from the honour guard regiment.
