Promotions on the occasion of Armed Forces Day



On the occasion of the Serbian Armed Forces Day – 23rd April, Tomislav Nikolic, President of the Republic of Serbia, passed the decree on the promotion of the members of the Serbian Armed Forces to the highest officer ranks.

Major General Jovica Draganic, Deputy Chief of General Staff of the Serbian Armed Forces was promoted extraordinary to the rank of Lieutenant General.

Brigadier General Slavoljub Janicijevic, Deputy Commander of SAF Joint Operations Command; Brigadier General Goran Zekovic, Chief of SAF Department for Training and Doctrine and Brigadier General Bojan Zrnic, Chief of the Department for Defence Technology, Material Resources Sector, Ministry of Defence were promoted in the rank of Major General.

Colonel Stanko Vasiljevic, Chief of Staff of the Training Command; Colonel Zeljko Ninkovic, Chief of SAF Logistics Department; Colonel Peter Latkovic, Commander of Central Logistics Base, SAF Logistics Department; Colonel Sinisa Radovic, Head of Office of the Minister of Defence; Colonel Petar Cvetkovic, Deputy Director of the Military Security Agency of MoD and Colonel Slavoljub Dabic, Deputy Director of Military Intelligence Agency of MoD were promoted to the rank of Brigadier General.

TO THE RANK OF LIEUTENANT GENERAL (EXTRAORDINARY)

 

Major General JOVICA Stojan DRAGANIC, Deputy Chief of General Staff of the Serbian Armed Forces, was born in Krusevac, on 31st January 1960. He completed Military Aeronautical Engineering High School in 1978, Military Aeronautical Engineering Academy in 1984, he completed General Staff School in 1997, and the National Defence School in 1999.

He has performed the duty of Deputy Chief of General Staff of the Serbian Armed Forces since 18 December 2013.

 

TO THE RANK OF MAJOR GENERAL

 

Brigadier General BOJAN Milorad ZRNIC, Chief of Department for Defence Technology of the Material Resources Sector of the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Serbia, was born in Banja Luka on 18 October 1969. He completed Military High School in 1987, Military Engineering Academy in 1992, received Master of Science degree in electronics in 1998, Ph.D. in electronics in 2001, and completed the Royal College of Defence Studies in the UK in 2007.

He has been at the position of the Head of Department of Defence Technology since 27th February 2010.

 

Brigadier General GORAN Vukalica ZEKOVIC, Chief of the Department for Training and Doctrine (J -7) of the Serbian Armed Forces was born in Uzice, on 1st July 1962. He completed Military Grammar School in 1981, Military Academy - Army in 1985, General Staff School in 1997, General Staff Advanced Education in 2003 and specialization in other scientific fields in 2009.

He has been at the position of Chief of the Department for Training and Doctrine (J -7) of SAF GS on 5th January 2013.

 

Brigadier General SLAVOLJUB Dragan JANICIJEVIC, Deputy Commander of the Joint Operations Command of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff was born in Plandiste on 24 June 1961. He completed General Military Secondary School in 1979, Military Academy - Army in 1983, General Staff School in 1996 and the General Staff Advanced Education in 2004.

He has been on the duty of Deputy Commander of Joint Operations Command since 10th December 2013.

 

TO THE RANK OF BRIGADIER GENERAL

 

Infantry Colonel SINISA Milan RADOVIC, Chief of Office of the Minister of Defence in the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Serbia, was born in Kosovska Mitrovica on 5th January 1964. He completed Military Academy - Army in 1987, Command Staff Advanced Education in 2002, and General Staff Advanced Education in 2009.

He has held the position of Chief of Office of the Minister of Defence since 17 June 2013.

Colonel PETAR Damnjan CVETKOVIC, Deputy Director (also Acting Director) of the Military Security Agency, Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Serbia, was born in Zemun on 3 December 1967. He completed General Military Secondary School in 1986, Military Academy – Army in 1990, Command Staff Advanced Education in 2005, and General Staff Advanced Education in 2009.

He has been on the duty of Deputy Director of Military Intelligence Agency since 23rd January 2014.

Colonel of the Armoured Units SLAVOLJUB Pavle DABIC, Deputy Director (also Acting Director) of the Military Intelligence Agency of the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Serbia, was born in Cajetina, on 27 October 1961. He completed the Military Academy – Army in 1984, General Staff School in 1997 and General Staff Advanced Education in 2010.

He has been performing the duty of a Deputy Director of Military Intelligence Agency since 22nd January 2014.

Colonel of the Engineering Services ZELJKO Georgija NINKOVIC, Chief of Logistics Department (J -4) of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff was born in Slunj on 5th January 1964. He completed Military Engineering Secondary School in 1982, Military Academy – Army in 1988, Command Staff Advanced Education in 2003, General Staff Advanced Education in 2006.

He has been on the position of Chief of Logistics Department (J -4) of SAF GS since 26 November 2013.

Engineer Colonel PETER Peter LATKOVIC, Commander of the Central Logistics Base of the Logistics Department (J -4) of the Serbian Armed Forces, was born in Jastrebarsko on 13 July 1966. He completed General Military Secondary school in 1985, Military Academy – Army in 1989, General Staff School in 2000, and General Staff Advanced Education in 2009.

He has been Commander of the Central Logistics Base since 14th December 2013.

Colonel of AD Artillery and Missile units STANKO Dusan VASILJEVIC, Chief of Staff of the Training Command was born in Bosanski Petrovac on 15 September 1960. He completed Military Aeronautical Engineering Secondary School in 1979, Military Aeronautical Engineering Academy in 1982, General Staff School in 1999 and General Staff Advanced Education in 2008.

He has been on the duty of the Chief of Staff of the Training Command since 28th November 2013.
