Concert of Stanislav Binicki Art Ensemble on the Remembrance Day



Concert of Stanislav Binicki Art Ensemble of the Ministry of Defence, on the occasion of the 24th March – Remembrance Day for the victims of the 1999 NATO aggression against Serbia, was held today in the hall of the Military Academy. Ensemble was conducted by Major Igor Mitrovic.

The concert was attended by Nebojsa Rodic, Minister of Defence in the caretaker government, Zoran Djordjevic, State Secretary, Miloš Jankovic, Assistant Minister of Defence, Major General Jovica Draganic, Deputy Chief of Serbian Armed Forces General Staff, as well as the representatives of the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces.

The following compositions were performed at the concert: "Dark is the Night", Beethoven's "Eroika", "This is Serbia" and "Raise Serbie".

Performers were vocalist Aleksa Vasic and actors of the National Theatre Marija Bergam and Djordje Markovic.

Music tracks were followed by verses of the Serbian patriotic and love poetry, and video illustrations of war and resistance with messages of peace.
