Athletic Championship of the Ministry of Defence opens



At the Stadium of the Military Academy today, the Sports Championship of the Ministry of Defence has been opened. Competition was opened by Milos Jankovic, Assistant Minister for Human Resources in the presence of Major General Prof. Mladen Vuruna, Commandant of the Military Academy, a number of officers, cadets and guests.

Sports Championship of the Ministry of Defence this year brought together seven teams composed of the cadets and officers of the classes of the Military Academy, MMA Medical Faculty, Class of Reserve Officer students and Military Grammar School, while certain sports disciplines involved also the representatives of the Military Security Agency, Material Resources Sector, Dean's Office and the Secretariat of the Military Academy. In the individual competition, in the coming days, representatives of almost all organizational units of the Ministry of Defence will test their strength and skills.

Individuals and teams will compete in the military all-around competition, marksmanship, orienteering, athletics, judo, futsal and volleyball.
