Minister of Defence meets Danish Ambassador
Nebojsa Rodic, Minister of Defence of the Republic of Serbia in the caretaker government has met today with HE Michael Borg-Hansen, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Denmark.Minister Rodic expressed his satisfaction with the cooperation between the two countries in the field of defence. For the purpose of further promotion of the cooperation, he invited Nicolai Wammen,Minister of Defence of the Kingdom of Denmark, to visit the Republic of Serbia in the second half of 2014. In this way, they would jointly discuss the results of the previous work of two ministries, the degree of implementation of the agreed activities and determine further directions of defence cooperation.
Ambassador Borg-Hansen conveyed his support to the European integration process of the Republic of Serbia and the efforts that the Republic of Serbia makes to strengthen the regional cooperation.
At the end of the meeting, they signed four protocols on donation of computer equipment for the projects of the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces amounting to EUR 91,000, which represents continuing support of the Kingdom of Denmark to the Serbian Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces.
The representative of the Ministry of Defence of the Kingdom of Denmark visited the Air Force Command and the Military Academy, within which he visited the Centre for Information Technology and the classroom for conducting the courses for CISCO Certified Network Administrators (CCNA). Their establishing was significantly aided by the donation of computer equipment of the Kingdom of Denmark.
Brigadier General Dr. Zoran Popovic, Head of the Military Health Department and Ms Maja Petrovic, psychologist at the Ministry of Defence, talked with Colonel Refsgaard in separate meetings. The purpose of these meetings was to discuss the implementation of the just signed Protocols on the donation of computer equipment for the establishment of psychological test centres in the Ministry of Defence.
