Concert of "Stanislav Binički” Art Ensemble on the Day of Remembrance

In the Ceremonial Hall of the Central Military Club tonight, the concert of the "Stanislav Binički" Art Ensemble of the Ministry of Defence was held on the occasion of 24 March – the Day of Remembrance of the victims of NATO bombing in 1999.

The concert was attended by Defence Minister Nebojsa Rodic, State Secretary Zoran Djordjevic, assistant ministers of defence and members of the collegium of the Minister of Defence and Chief of Serbian Armed Forces General Staff.

The program began with the melody "Dark is the Night", and continued with Beethoven’s "Eroika" and the song "This is Serbia" and "Raise Serbie". The Symphony Orchestra of the "Stanislav Binički" Artistic

Ensemble was conducted by Major Igor Mitrovic.

Performers at the concert were Aleksa Vasic, a vocalist, actors Marija Bergamo and Djordje Markovic and ten art students of the Faculty of Dramatic Arts in collaboration with Professor Diana Marojevic Diklic, who recited verses "My Fatherland”, "We know our fate" and "I seek clemency”.

Music tracks were followed by the verses of Serbian patriotic, contemplative and love poetry, as well as video illustrations of war and resistance, with messages of peace and a better life.
