Signing the agreement between the Fund for Military Social Insurance and Belgrade Pharmacy
- Signing the contract with "Belgrade" Pharmacy is the result of several months of continuous work of the Ministry of Defence and the Fund for Military Social Insurance on expanding the network of pharmacies in which the certified prescriptions of the military insured can be used, Vlada Antonijevic, Director of the Fund for Military Social Insurance, said. – The military insured are thus enabled to obtain a drug or other medical consumables, which cannot be obtained in military pharmacies in one of the many pharmacies of the "Belgrade" Pharmacy with a certified prescription. We started the entire process on 15 November 2013, when we published on the website of the Fund for Military Social Insurance a public call for the conclusion of a cooperation agreement to all interested pharmacies. So far, 40 contracts have been signed, and the invitation is open and runs until March 31. Renewing the old contracts with pharmacies and pharmacy institutions in the Republic of Serbia and entering into new ones we are improving the quality of health and pharmaceutical services and raising the level of health care for more than 130 thousand military insured. For us, the signing of contracts with "Belgrade" Pharmacy is particularly important because that pharmaceutical institution extremely well covers all urban and suburban municipalities of the City of Belgrade, so we rightly expect significant improvement of the health and pharmaceutical care of the military insured in this area, Vlada Antonijevic said.
Ms Jasminka Bjeletic, Acting Director of Belgrade" Pharmacy pointed out that the contract on issuing medicaments to the military insured on the account of the certified prescriptions allows the military insured to have full access to all medicaments in 124 pharmacies in the immediate and wider area of Belgrade.
- By signing this contract, we renewed a rich collaboration with the Ministry of Defence in providing pharmaceutical care to the military insured. With around 480 graduate pharmacists and specialists in pharmaceutical specialties employed in 124 pharmacies, "Belgrade" Pharmacy does a lot on the improvement of primary health care of its beneficiaries, providing them all pharmaceutical care. Among them, there is a large number of the military insured and members of the Fund for Military Social Insurance with which we have many years of good cooperation, Jasminka Bjeletic said among other things.
Retired Colonel Caslav Antic, a representative of the Association of Military Pensioners of Serbia has expressed his satisfaction over the signing of the contract, which will facilitate the life of about 20,000 military beneficiaries in Belgrade.
