Second session of the Algerian-Serbian mixed committee
The signing of the Agreement on mutual protection and exchange of classified information in the field of defense between the Republic of Serbia and the Democratic People's Republic of Algeria marked the start today of the second meeting of the Joint Commission for Cooperation in the field of defense .The agreement was signed by the State Secretary Zoran Djordjevic and general Tires Mohamed in the presence of His Excellency the Ambassador of Algeria to Serbia Abdelkader Mesduua , assistant minister for defense policy Miroslav Jovanovic and representatives of the Ministry of Defence and the General Staff of the Serbian Army .
Secretary of State Djordjevic welcomed the high military delegation from Algeria wishing successful work to the subcommittees of the Mixed Commission in the next three days . ON behalf of the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Serbia , State Secretary expressed his deepest condolences to the guests from Algeria because of the plane crash that happened yesterday in their country .
General Mohamed stressed the importance of signing the agreement for future cooperation and relations between the two armies while thanking the hosts for their welcome, and the experts who worked on the drafting of a document on the expertise and efficiency .
The plenary meeting of the Joint Commission for Co-operation in the defense was opened the Assistant Minister for Defense Policy Miroslav Jovanovic, who is also the co-chairman of the Joint Committee. He announced high expectations for upcoming meetings and emphasized the intention of the Ministry of Defence in the Government of Serbia to be the leader of the development of cooperation between the two friendly nations . The aim of the second session , as he pointed out is further development and deepening of the strategic partnership , and the definition of specific types and forms of cooperation in the future.The co-chairmanof the Algerian part of the Mixed Commission , Major General Abdelhamid Gris thanked for the warm welcome voicing his agreement with the Assistant Secretary of Defense with respect to the importance of cooperation between the two defense system .
The talks of the Serbian and Algerian side will focus on concrete projects and cooperation in the field of education and training, military medicine, defense industry and military issues.
