Entering into military records



In the period from 3rd to 28th February of 2014, The Ministry of Defence will be entering into the military records boys born in 1996 and older (1984-1995), who have not been entered into the recruiting system in the calendar year in which they turned 18.

Entering into military records is a common practice in the armed forces and an obligation provide for in the law, which remained in force after the adoption of the Decision of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia on the suspension of compulsory military service on 15 December 2010.

Entering into military records is performed in centres of the Ministry of Defence for the local government according to the place of permanent residence of the recruits.

A recruit who is entered into the military records should bring for the insight the following:
- Identity Card and
- Certificate of Citizenship of the Republic of Serbia or a birth certificate.

A recruit who resides abroad is entered into evidence in the competent diplomatic and consular mission of the Republic of Serbia in the country concerned.
