SAF members in the mission in Lebanon

What makes the contingent of the Army of Serbia stand out from the rest of the armed forces who are deployed to keep the fragile peace in a multinational operation UNIFIL in Lebanon is that hardly any team can boast of having two brothers.

Among the 143 members of our military deployed in Lebanon , two SAF members have plates with the same last name - Ilic. These are Tomica, who is the corporal on the duty of a gunner, and Vladica , sergeant major the commander of the UNIFIL mission .

The desire for new experiences led the brothers Ilic , born in Prokuplje, to apply for participation in the mission in Lebanon, and being great athletes they spend their free time playing football-mainly in opposing teams.

Peacekeepers distributing gifts

For the upcoming New Year and Christmas holidays, members of the Serbian army staying in the mission in Lebanon , with colleagues from other countries have organized a celebration where gave toys and gifts for children from their respective area of responsibility .
