Defence minister of Moldova's visit

The Minister of Defence of the Republic of Serbia Nebojsa Rodic met today with the Minister of Defence of the Republic of Moldova Vitaly Marinuco .

The ministers signed an agreement on defense cooperation between the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the Republic of Moldova , which created the legal framework for future activities in areas of mutual interest.

Both sides expressed interest that in the future all the necessary measures to develop bilateral military cooperation and strengthen partnership and friendly relations be taken. They expressed appreciation for Moldova’s decision to deploy 41 soldiers as part of the Italian contingent.

During the two-day visit the Moldovan delegation will see the capacities of the Military Academy , School of Medicine , Military Medical Academy and the Center for Peace Operations. The talks will focus on our experiences on the path of European integration in the field of defense reform and the development of strategic documents .

Furthermore, the plan of the visit envisages meetings at the National Assembly and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia .
