Minister visits Poland



The Minister of Defence of the Republic of Serbia Nebojsa Rodic is paying an official visit to Poland .

During the first day of the visit , Minister Rodic met with Deputy Secretary of State for Parliamentary , European Policy and Human Rights Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Henrik Moscicki - Dendis . The two sides exchanged views on bilateral relations as well as on current security issues in the region and beyond. It was concluded that there is scope for further improvement of the overall relationship , particularly in defense, the field of European integration and economic cooperation .

In an interview with the Chairman of the National Defence Stephen Njiesiolovsky , the possibility of intensifying parliamentary cooperation , the cooperation of the Security Committee and the parliamentary group of friendship between the two countries was emphasized as well as sharing experience in the preparation and adoption of laws , which are part of the process of harmonization with the EU acquis.

Minister Rodic laid a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown heroes of Warsaw. Upon completion of the protocol part of the ceremony he wrote in the guest book : "The people of Poland and Serbia had to defend their freedom and dignity many a time in history , that is their right to remain recognizable in the family of European values and people. Fighting for their homeland both the Poles and Serbs in the wars of liberation paid the ultimate price by having the greatest number of victims in relation to the population of all allies. But it was worth it. The victims oblige us to remain faithful to our tradition , and value in the future . "

Delegation of the Ministry of Defence visited the Academy and National Defence .

On the second day of his official visit, the Minister of Defence of the Republic of Serbia Nebojsa Rodic will meet with the Minister of Defence of the Republic of Poland Tomaz Simoniak .
