Minister of Defence meets Ambassador of Brazil



Minister of Defence of the Republic of Serbia Nebojsa Rodic received the Ambassador of the Federative Republic of Brazil to Belgrade H.E. Alexandre Addor Neto in a farewell visit.

Serbia and Brazil entered into Agreement on Cooperation in the field of defence in 2010. It was pointed out that the focal areas of cooperation are military economic, military technical, military educational and military medical cooperation. At the meeting they also discussed the possibility of establishing a Serbia - Brazil Joint Commission for military economic cooperation as an effective instrument for the promotion of cooperation in this field.

Ambassador Alexandre Addor Neto is to leave the post of Ambassador at the end of October, and minister Rodic thanked him on his current work and invested efforts on promoting bilateral relations between the two countries, particularly in the field of defence, as well as on the principled stance of Brazil and support regarding the issue of Kosovo and Metohia.
