New flats in the Stepa Stepanovic residential complex



In the area of the former barracks "Field Marchal Stepa Stepanovic” in Belgrade, sixteen members of the defence system have received today keys for new apartments. With today's distribution, on the site, a total of 492 members of the defence system have been housed in this location.

At the site of the former barracks, on 42 hectares of land area, the residential and office complex, with 4616 apartments, 156 shops, 143 parking slots and 3300 open parking slots, is being built. The Ministry of Defence has 21 percent of gross floor area space to solve housing problems of the members of the defence system.

From 723 apartments originally contracted, the Ministry of Defence was allocated 25 three-room apartments, or 748 apartments in total, due to reduction of charges for the organisation of the city building land. Also, as a compensation for the garage area, in consultation with the Building Directorate of Serbia, another thirty apartments are to be obtained.
