Concert of Artistic Ensemble "Stanislav Binički" in Nis
Artistic Ensemble of the Ministry of Defence "Stanislav Binički" performed a concert tonight in the Military Club in Nis on the occasion of the Day of the Third Army Brigade. Numerous audience enthusiastically welcomed the military musicians led by conductor Pavle Medakovic and their performance of marches of King Milan, King Aleksandar and Field Marchal Stepa, Officers kolo, popular tunes and arranged folk and traditional Serbian music.Particular attention was drawn to the performance of "March on the Drina", as the march was devoted to Colonel Milivoje Stojanovic, the third wartime commander of the Second Infantry Regiment of Prince Mihailo, which was the famous "Iron Regiment" whose tradition is continued by the Third Brigade.
The concert was attended by Chief of Staff of the Army Command Brigadier General Zarko Lazarevic, Commander of the Third Brigade, Brigadier General Zelimir Glisovic, representatives of the city of Nis and other guests. In the gallery of the Military Club, there was an exhibition devoted to the "Iron Regiment", made in cooperation with the Toplice Museum from Prokuplje.
