Handing over keys of new apartments in “Stepa Stepanovic” residential complex
In the area of former barracks "Field Marshal Stepa Stepanovic" in Belgrade today, seventeen keys of new apartments for the members of the defence system. From 748 apartments that have been agreed including the today's distribution, on this site, 476 members of the defence system have been housed.As a compensation for the garage space in this complex, in consultation with the Building Directorate of Serbia, thirty more apartments will be obtained for the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces.
At the site of the former barracks, on 42 acres of land, a residential and commercial complex with 4616 flats, 156 shops, 1430 parking slots and 3300 open parking slots is being built. Out of the overall area for solving the housing issue of the members of the defence system 21 percent belongs to the Ministry of Defence.
