New flats for defense system members
The families of members of the defense system today were handed keys to the apartment residential area "Stepa Stepanović" in Vozdovac.Head of the Military Construction center "Belgrade" Lt Col Davorko Palikuca presented keys and pointed out that the Ministry of Defence in collaboration with the Building Directorate of Serbia will continue the implementation of the project. He stressed that the out of 748 apartments 445 apartments have new tenants.
One of these tenants is Zoran Pejovic, who together with his family entered the new apartment. So far he has worked at the Military Medical Academy and in Rakovica, and after 28 years of waiting, his family of four will move into the apartment. He thanked the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Army, as after so many years of waiting, he got a new apartment his family members are satisfied with.On the site of the former barracks on 42 hectares of land, this large housing and office comprises a complex with 4616 apartments, 156 bars, in 1430 and 3300 open garage parking spaces. Ministry of Defence owns 21 percent of the total area intended for solving housing issues.
