Serbian Armed Forces Chief of General Staff meets KFOR Commander

Serbian Armed Forces Chief of General Staff General Ljubisa Dikovic and KFOR Commander Major General Volker Halbauer met today in the "South" base near Bujanovac.

The two generals discussed the current situation regarding security and cooperation between the Serbian Armed Forces and KFOR in accordance with the Military Technical Agreement. The main topics of discussion were synchronized patrols conducted jointly by the Serbian Armed Forces and KFOR.

High-level meeting of the Joint Military Technical Agreement Implementation Commission was a good opportunity for generals Dikovic and Halbauer to mutually express their gratitude for the professional and fair cooperation, since general Halbauer is to handover his duty as the Commander of KFOR in September.

Joint Military Technical Agreement Implementation Commission is composed of KFOR Commission and Commission of the representatives of the Republic of Serbia security forces. The meetings of the Joint Implementation Commission have been held regularly on different levels since 1999 for the purpose of implementation of the Military Technical Agreement.

After the meeting, members of the Serbian Armed Forces and KFOR played a revue football match at the sports ground of the "South" base. The match, which ended with the score 4:1 in favor of the Serbian Armed Forces, is another confirmation of good cooperation between the Serbian Armed Forces and KFOR.
