Signing of the Protocol on Donation of MILES system



http://www.mod.gov.rs/multimedia/fotogalerija/foto/MJV_3923.JPGRepresentative of the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Serbia Lieutenant Colonel Dragan Antic and Head of the Office of Defence Cooperation of the US Embassy in Belgrade Lieutenant Colonel Sean Long, signed today a protocol on the donation of a Multiple Integrated Laser Engagement System or MILES.

The donation was realized from the US Government programme under the title "Global Peace Operations Initiative" programme under the competence of the State Department. The value of the donation is $ 1,160,000.

The MILES system will be installed and used to train members of the Serbian Armed Forces at the Multinational Operations Personnel Training Centre at the South Base.
