Reception for military priests
At the Department of Human Resources of the Army of Serbia a celebration was held on the occasion of receiving religious services officer at their initial duty.The meeting was attended by Bishop Porfirije (Peric) and Archbishop Stanislav Hocevar, and head of the Department for Religion, Department for Morality and Religion, Human Resources Sector Colonel Stevica Karapandzin who read the decrees on the appointment of chaplains on duty.
Congratulating the future officers of religious service, Colonel Milan Aksic from the Human Resources Department said that today, after more than seven decades, the Serbian Army officers have received a religious service, thus creating a constitutional right of the members of our armed forces to practice their faith freely.
- From tomorrow you will officially become officers of Serbia, which means you have to act as officers, as well as to respect the code of honor of our military - as Aleksic pointed out.In the final part of today’s ceremony Colonel Karapandzin presented the officers of religious service the plan and the obligations they will be expected to perform.
