Assistant Minister for Defence Jovanović at the OSCE meeting in Vienna



Assistant Minister for Defence , Miroslav Jovanović led the delegation of the Republic of Serbia at the OSCE Annual Meeting on Implementation of the Code of Conduct on Politico-Military Aspects of Security.

The meeting was held in the OSCE seat in Vienna, and more than 150 representatives of the Organization member countries, academic community and non-governmental sector participated therein. Discussion on the OSCE Code of Conduct on Politico-Military Aspects of Security addressed possible contribution of the OSCE in creating a new, comprehensive, indivisible and cooperative security community in Euro-Atlantic and Euro-Asian space.

Assistant Minister for Defence held a speech within the second work session “The Experiences of the Republic of Serbia in the Implementation of the Code of Conduct on Politico-Military Aspects of Security“.

During the meeting, the Assistant Minister for Defence Jovanović met the Director of the OSCE Conflict Prevention Centre Adam Kobieracki and the other OSCE officials and the representatives of other member countries. During the talks the cooperation of the Republic of Serbia and the OSCE in politico-military security dimension was emphasized, as well as the achievements made in the defence system reforms and possibilities for promoting the cooperation for the purpose of future chairing the Organization by the Republic of Serbia in 2015.
