General Dikovic visited the arms fair "Partner 2013"

Serbian CHOD General Ljubisa Dikovic visited the 6th International Fair of arms and military equipment "Partner 2013". He was accompanied by Head of the Defence Technology Department Brigadier General prof. dr. Bojan Zrnic, Chief of the Planning and Development Department Major General Dusan Stojanovic and Assistant Director "JUGOIMPORT-SDPR" Nenad Miloradovic, he toured the majority of exhibited weaponry and military equipment.

General Dikovic paid special attention to the central part of the Belgrade Fair Hall 1, where armament and military equipment that are the product of domestic industry were exhibited. General Dikovic was thoroughly acquainted with the military equipment by representatives of the Military Technical Institute and "JUGOIMPORT-SDPR."

A workshop "The advantages of using NATO codification system" implemented by the Directorate for Standards, Metrology and codification of the Department of Material Resources MO together with NATO Support Agency (NSPA) was held yesterday at the fair. The main objective of the workshop was interest enterprises and companies into joint NATO codification system so our economy can get a better chance of marketing their products.

At the end of the sixth international fair of arms and military equipment "Partner 2013" Brigadier General Bojan Zrnic, Chief of the Defence Technology Department said that the event showed that the Serbian defense industry was booming, there were now products that were more sophisticated than they were in the past, the number of producers has widened significantly and that the presence of foreign exhibitors was significant.

- All that we promised in the announcement of this event has been realized, and we are proud of, including the fact that a significant number of visitors have visited the fair - a total of about 5,000 people. "Partner" is continuously growing, together with the ambitions of our people in connection with the defense technologies.

Speaking of the favourites of the fair General Zrnic pointed out that the biggest technological challenge was the inertia-navigation systems and automatization of artillery weapons, and main products for exports are platforms such as "Lazar 2," which had its promotion at the show, artillery system "Nora B52", and modular rocket launcher "Morava". Furthermore, he mentioned “Lasta” air craft, which has been enhanced with digital avionics experienced another version of the improvements.

- This will definitely be our top-selling products in the future However, it should be noted that in which Serbia is the most famous in the world, and what was significant in terms of business was the signing of new contracts for the export of ammunition, gunpowder and explosives.
