Promoting cooperation between Serbia and Russia
Vice President of the Serbian Government and Defence Minister Aleksandar Vucic met with Nikolai Patrushev, Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation.The main topic of talks were work and responsibilities, as well as the modalities for the promotion of cooperation between the National Security Council and the Serbian National Security Council of the Russian Federation. Furthermore, modalities for improving the work of the preparation for the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding between two Councils were deliberated on.
The topics regard the attitude towards contemporary modes of endangering national security, the fight against terrorism, organized crime, corruption, drug trafficking, border crime, energy security and illegal immigration.
The two sides noted the necessity to connect institutions of the two countries in a joint opposition to various types of security challenges and threats.All issues regarding cooperation between the defense system, military-technical, military economic and scientific cooperation and energy security projects and joint ventures were agreed upon.
