Evening of fine music in Kalemegdan
At the plateau in front of the Institute for Protection of Cultural Monuments of Belgrade Kalemegdan a concert of film and revial music was given last night by the Art Ensemble of the Ministry of Defense, "Stanislav Binicki". The concert was organized by the female students of the second year of the Academy of Arts - Bojana Kesic and Sanja Ljumovic, as an integral part of their exams, but with the intention to present a pleasant musical evening to people in belgrade."We decided that rather than write a term paper we should organize an outdoor concert, given that all European cities have one such event in the spring. We also want to get this serious orchestra into the open and present them to our fellow citizens, "explained Bojana Kesic.
All passers by as well as those who wanted to come could enjoy a repertoire that was jointly compiled by the organizers and the orchestra, such well known tunes as Samba pa ti, Quando Quando, Soul Bossa Nova, ~ and music from the film "Montevideo, Bog te video" , "The Godfather," "Grlom u jagode" and many others.The realization of such a handsome project was made possible with the help of MoD orchestra "Stanislav Binicki", Institute for Protection of Monuments, Belgrade Fortress, Studio Berar who has provided sound and Studio B as a media sponsor
