Bilateral codification plan with Denmark signed



Director of the Directorate for Standards, Metrology and Codification Colonel Zoran Spasojevic and director of the National Codification Bureau Torsten Jensen of Denmark signed a bilateral agreement in codification between the two defense ministries.

The agreement was signed at a meeting of the NATO Codification General Committee group AC/135 held in Luxembourg from 4 to 7 June, which was attended by 37 countries. The Republic of Serbia has signed four bilateral agreements while two other agreements remain to be signed with Italy and the Federal Republic of Germany.

The meeting adopted the report on completion of testing National Codification Bureau Serbia and confirmed the technical ability of our Codification Bureau for the status of Tier - 2 This created the conditions for the full participation of Serbia in the NATO codification system as a country which is not a NATO member.

The test was conducted from January to May this year and was performed with national codification bureau of USA, France, Austria, Finland and Belgium, as well as NATO Support Agency NSPA. So far, no country, has managed to meet the requirements for admission to a higher level of Tier - 2 which currently has nine countries including Russia, Brazil and Austria.

Colonel Marek Dalkovski from Polish Codification Bureau was elected with a secret ballot as the new Chairman of the NATO Codification Committee AC/135.
