Assistant Deputy Secretary of Defence Evelyn Farkas visits MoD



Vice president of the Serbian Government and Defence Minister Aleksandar Vucic met with Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defence for Russia/Ukraine/Eurasia Dr. Evelyn Farkas..

Vucic expressed satisfaction with cooperation with KFOR, and the U.S. decision to retain the current level of presence of its contingents in Kosovo and Metohija, while at the same time informing Assistant Secretary Farkas of the elements of the Brussels agreement between Belgrade and Pristina, as well as the agreement for the implementation of the plan of this Agreement. Vucic said that the bilateral military cooperation between Serbia and the United States was at a high level.

Assistant Deputy Secretary of Defence Farkas said the U.S. supports the reform and European integrations of the Republic of Serbia, adding that the Brussels agreement between Belgrade and Pristina was a brave and pragmatic decision that will greatly contribute to a better future for Serbia. She stressed that the U.S. would not withdraw its contingent in KFOR until the right conditions for such a decision are created.
