SAF CHOD in the Russian Federation
Serbian Army Chief General Ljubisa Dikovic is in an official visit to the Russian Federation, where he will hold talks with the Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces Army General Valery Gerasimov Viktorovich.Also, SAF air force commander Major General Ranko Zivak is in the delegation.
Generals Dikovic and Gerasimov discussed bilateral military cooperation and military-technical cooperation between the two armies, the current political and security situation in Kosovo and Metohija and the prospects of European integration of the Republic of Serbia.
Recalling the traditionally frank friendship and understanding of the two nations, general Dikovic expressed his confidence that cooperation in the field of defense could be at a significantly higher level than before, especially when it comes to the modernization of weapons and military equipment and training for the management of modern combat systems, intensifying joint training and exercises presence, strengthening military education and military economic cooperation and cooperation in the Air Force. Furthermore, mutual agreement on all important issues was reached.
During his stay in Russia, General Dikovic visited units of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation and laid a wreath at the Victory Monument.
