New flats for the members of the defence system

In the residential block "Stepa Stepanovic" today keys to 32 apartments were resented to future residents of the newly built flats. On this occasion, the Head of the Infrastructure Sector of the material resources of the Ministry of Defence Colonel Milan Sladoje, after handing the keys wished good luck in moving to new tenants and future neighbors.

- I am pleased that I am now in a position to hand the keys to the apartments to people who were waiting for them for so many years. The Ministry of Defence and the Building Directorate of Serbia successfully collaborated in the realization of this project - as pointed out by Sladoje, adding that the general idea is to build on that location for members of the defense system another 60 apartments.

Retired Colonel Petar Todorovic is one of those who have unlocked the doors of their new apartment in "Stepa Stepanovic” for the first time

- This is a great day for me and my family, because I have been waiting for the apartment for more than 23 years. The sons are already grown up, and we will live in the apartment my wife and I with our younger son. I have two grandchildren, and now, when they come to visit, they can play games - said Todorovic, adding that he liked the block, but that he is particularly pleased the apartment building carried out by the construction company "Napred."

At the site of the former barracks "Duke Stepa Stepanovic" at the area covering 42 acres of land there is an ongoing construction of a residential and commercial complex with 4616 flats, 156 shops, 1430 parking places and 3300 open parking spaces.
