Defence ministers of Serbia and Greece meet



Vice President of the Serbian Government and Defence Minister Aleksandar Vucic met with Defense Minister of Greece Panos Panayiotopoulos.

The two ministers have reached full agreement on all the key political issues, as well as proceeding with further and faster improvement of economic cooperation between the two countries. Vucic expressed his gratitude to his Greek counterpart for the support that Greece provides to Republic of Serbia regarding its efforts to preserve its territorial integrity as well as for the support to Serbia on its European path.

Minister Panayiotopoulos welcomed the reform agenda of the Government of Serbia and the results achieved by Serbia towards European integration.

Vucic thanked his Greek colleague for the existing cooperation between the Greek and Serbian armies and expressed confidence that this cooperation could be even better especially in the field of training of special forces including military education and military-medical segment. Panayiotopoulos said that between the Hellenic Republic and the Republic of Serbia there are no unresolved issues adding that the Ministry of Defence of Greece would do everything possible to increase the number of joint activities with the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces.

Defence Minister of Greece invited Vucic to visit Athens and to meet with top officials in Greece, which Vucic accepted.
