Minister Vucic visits the Russian Federation
Vice President of the Serbian Government and Defence Minister Aleksandar Vucic is paying a two-day visit to the Russian Federation.Minister Vucic is participating in the International Conference on Security in Moscow today, during which he will meet with Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu. Topics of discussion between the two Ministers will be preparing agreements on defense cooperation, which shall be signed during Shoigu’s visit to Belgrade in early October. They will also discuss the purchase of combat systems, defense industry cooperation in joint projects and performances in other markets, as well as the regional center in Nis.
Vice President Vucic met with Secretary of State in the Ministry of Defence of Germany, Christian Smith, and in the afternoon he is to meet with the Minister of Defence of France Jean-Yves Le Drian and Defense Minister of Greece Panos Panayiotopoulos.
Following the conference Vucic will travel to Sochi, where he will meet with President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin.
