Workshop on accountability in decision making process in defence procurement
The workshop entitled "Building and facilitation of accountability in decision-making in defense procurement'' will be held from 20 to 24 May in the Department of Material Resources of the Ministry of Defence, the organization of the defense technology. Lecturers from prestigious Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, USA, under the direction of Dr. Elizabeth Wright will be giving these lectures.Good management of complex programs for equip with arms and military equipment should enable procurement of arms and military equipment to use funds in an accountable and transparent manner during all stages of equipping.
In the course of workshop, practices and experiences from different western countries will be presented, as well as the legal framework and regulations in these countries, which define the rules of conduct and ensure transparency of the process of equipping.Workshop participants from MoD and SAF organizational units will through teamwork and discussion actively participate in the implementation of the workshop.
This has been the third year of cooperation with the Center for Civil-Military Relations from the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, which is annually planned and organized in the framework of meetings of the Serbian - United States Joint Commission regarding the reform of the defense system.
