Cooperation with Brazil
Assistant Minister for Defence Policy Miroslav Jovanovic met with the Ambassador of the Federative Republic of Brazil in Belgrade, His Excellency Mr Alexandre Addor Neto.During the talks, both sides agreed that after the conclusion of the Agreement on Defence Cooperation, the current year should be a time for setting up and beginning of a concrete bilateral military cooperation. Great opportunity for this will be the forthcoming visit of the Defence Minister Aleksandar Vucic to Brazil at the invitation of the Brazilian Defence Minister Celso Amorim.
The Brazilian side pointed out that Serbia, besides being perceived as a traditionally friendly country that they fully support on the political level, is also seen as the regional partner and leader, with whom they wish to establish and develop cooperation in the field of defence. The visit of the Defence Minister Aleksandar Vucic will be a great opportunity to define specific forms and areas of future cooperation.
