Bilateral military cooperation plan with Bulgaria signed
The Chief of the International Military Cooperation Brigadier General Ljubomir Nikolic, signed today with the DA of the Republic of Bulgaria in Belgrade Lieutenant Emil Shipocky the bilateral military cooperation plan with the Republic of Bulgaria for the 2013.
Both sides expressed satisfaction with the level of cooperation achieved in the field of defense and a tendency to further improvement. The number of planned activities in the 2013 represents a qualitative improvement and extension of cooperation in established areas, despite limited defence budgets.Focal areas of cooperation are carrying out joint training and exercises, as well as cooperation in the field of codification, budgeting and finance, military education, human resources, public relations, military police, military geography and Military Medicine.
It is necessary to consider the possibility strengthening cooperation further in the field of military education through the exchange of officers at various levels of training as well as training medical staff to participate in multinational operations.
Tthe importance of the planned joint firing exercise of air defence missile units at the training ground, "Shabla" in August this year was emphasized.
