Training of trainers for trustworthy persons completed



Based on the Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Defence and the United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women – UN Women, a seminar for the training of trainers for "trustworthy persons" was held in Ecka from 25 to 28 March 2013.

The seminar was attended by eleven male/female members of the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces, as well as male/female representatives from the Ministry of Interior, Administration for the Execution of Penitentiary Sanctions of the Ministry of Justice and Public Administration and Security-Information Agency.

In addition to gaining general knowledge about the existing legal regulations and mechanisms to protect employees from gender and any other form of discrimination, the trainees have mastered the practical skills needed to educate a "trustworthy person" as a mechanism of gender equality provided for in the National Action Plan for the implementation of Resolution 1325 – Women, peace and security in the Republic of Serbia.
